Managers,

The check-in and bat testing for Mercer tomorrow is at field #2. If you do not know where field #2 is you are welcome to call me.

Teams are asked to bring bats together as a team. You can test max of 20 bats.

The site director for tomorrow is JJ Stemetzki who many of you know from USA Softball. It is still 100% a USSSA event. JJ is just giving me a hand testing bats and checking the teams in. He was going anyway to sell his E-Shore and other gear at his table.

If there is any game-related or bracket issue please call me directly. You are certainly welcome to also speak to JJ but he is just helping me with the check-in.

Please be aware of the following for tomorrow.

**Alcohol in cans or bottles is not allowed on the complex at Brick.**

Please do not have these items or you may be sent home early.

We are getting very tired of explaining this to the same people, and will have zero tolerance tomorrow.

This includes parking lots.


**We will not be looking in solo cups.**


Please clean your dugout when you leave the dugout. Teams coming into a dugout, please let directors know if dugout is not swept. The trash becomes yours when you enter and do not let us know.


Profanity and bad behavior towards umpires will not be allowed tomorrow.


You are not allowed to hit on the back soccer fields at Brick for any reason whether or not there is a soccer game.


Bring bats over as a team to be tested. Not individually. Maximum 20 bats passed per team.



We are using time limit tomorrow, but just to ensure we stay on time. Please work with us and hustle in and out.

The four 0-2 teams will go into a consolation round with a 2 game setup.

Teams are asked to bring the bats as a team to the table.

Teams can test up to 20 bats.

Bats must be 240 bats.

If the bat has no sticker and is protested, inning ending out.

Teams are required to have players on the online roster or submit the player via email as a possible "guest player." We would like to try and keep guest player requests to an absolute minimum, but I will consider them. If there are any problems or issues, contact me. No team should need more than 1 or 2 "guest players".

Any requested guest players must have waivers done for some type of 2023 team. Players can guest play once and then have to be added to the roster. Players can not be a guest player every weekend.

All players MUST have completed the online waiver and accepted to the team. Pending players need to be out of pending. No excuses or reasons why it cannot be done. For this event, pending players are not protestable, but if any team is found to have someone not completed their waiver, they will be removed for that game. Not able to return for the next one until the waiver is completed.

Straight USSSA book rules unless noted.

Runner rule is USSSA. One per inning anyone on the roster. There is no mandatory pitcher runner, if you need to run for the pitcher then use the runner for the pitcher.

Home Runs. Book rule Men's E 1 HR over the fence then inning ending outs.

Balls and backup balls are supplied but you must retrieve HR and foul balls or buy more.

Time limit. All games. Umpire announces 60 minutes, finish the inning and play one more. We simply need to finish the tournament in one day before the lights go out. Each game should last about 70 minutes.

Final notes and payout info will be sent Friday night to managers.
